The Prioress General of the Benedictine Sisters, Mother Angela Strobel, OSB from Germany together with Sister Lumen Gloria Dungca, OSB, were welcomed by the SSAM community, morning of July 13, 2016.

Scholasticans and teachers prepared and waited for the arrival of the sisters. Everyone was clearly buzzing with excitement. Grade 1 and 2 students waved their flaglets while the high school Drum and Lyre Club merrily played their musical instruments as the special visitors entered the school grounds.

When the sisters arrived, the Barangayette officers hospitably presented their gifts, such as colorful hats, beaded necklaces, and Filipino delicacies. The emcee Nicole Magadia of grade 4 Alert started the program cheerfully.

With their beautiful voices, the High School Glee Club sang classic songs in acapella, while the grade 1 entertained everyone as they sang and dance “Salve Regina and  Hail Holy Queen” in their nun-like outfits of black and white.

The Benedictine sisters headed by the school directress, Mother Angelica Leviste, OSB, Sister Alexis Lamarroza, OSB, the aspirants, the middle administrators, faculty and staff were also around. After all the performances, the sisters delivered their words of gratitude. They seemed very touched and honored to receive such an amazing welcome.
