Celebrating Communion with the Christ

EDUCATION AS A SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY is SSAM’s mission and thrust. The school is impelled to be one with the society, to share and live Christ especially with the poor and the oppressed.

Together with the faculty, Parent Section Representatives and SIP Parent Volunteers, Grades 1, 2, 5 levels accomplished part 1 of the Social Involvement Program (SIP). Even the Kindergarten did their own share of giving love to the elderly. The rest of the levels will follow as dates of their activity have been scheduled.

The Social Involvement Program Aims to:

1. Offer opportunities for students to open their eyes, ears, minds and hearts to the present social realities in order to effect positive changes in their attitudes and values towards solidarity.
2. Lead the students to undertake meaningful tasks in order to form intelligent judgments on social realities.
3. Arrive at possibilities for concrete action that will hasten the liberation of the poor, the deprived and the oppressed and promote their human development.

We look forward to the day when Jesus will say: (Matthew 25: 34-40)

34 … Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took Me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed Me: I was sick, and ye visited Me: I was in prison, and ye came unto Me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we Thee an hungred, and fed Thee? or thirsty, and gave Thee drink? 38 When saw we Thee a stranger, and took Thee in? or naked, and clothed Thee? 39 Or when saw we Thee sick, or in prison, and came unto Thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me
